Supporting Home-Based Businesses

I love supporting other women who endeavor to be present in their homes, creating a culture of beauty and gentleness for themselves and their families. Our country needs, more than ever, the presence and effect of heartfelt women in the home, and I believe the trajectory of this nation would change if more women answered the divine calling to influence the home.

Yet the rubber does meet the road, and we need money to live this life. By supporting creative ladies like the ones below, we can support them in their endeavors to be present in the home while simultaneously bringing income to their families. By supporting these creative ladies, I am supporting their ability to work either from their homes or have their homes as a base for their business endeavors.

Each of the businesses/products I am sharing with you today are created by genuine real friends. I have spent personal time with these ladies, and they have blessed my life in real and tangible ways. In some small way, I hope to give back to my friends by sharing their artistic endeavors with you today. I truly hope that you will take the time to check out their products/websites and even consider purchasing an item from one of these ladies.

My dear friend, Casey, recently opened her online shop, and I am so impressed with all that she has to offer: handcrafted stationery, t-shirts (block-printed!), and personal products. I just love my t-shirt that she sent me. It says “Homemaking with eternity in my heart.” I’m always reminded of the dignity of my work as a homemaker when I wear this shirt. Casey warmly welcomes you to sign up for her newsletter to receive news of products and shop updates!

seeking god devotional by bettina shue

Bettina is truly one of the hardest working missionaries that I know, and she and her husband minister to the Mexican pastors right on the boarder of Mexico. For years, Bettina has ministered to ladies through the written and spoken word, and her newest book, Seeking God, was born out of years of ministering to ladies. This 31 devotional is perfect for someone who may not yet know the Lord but longs to know more, and the book will also bless the seasoned Christian and provide deeper thoughts about God. At an affordable price point, this book would make a perfect gift for friends and family members.

Day Star: An Advent Study by Jolene Kauffman

Jolene has been a personal mentor to me. Her advent study, Day Star, has blessed our family during the Christmas season for several years now, and we always look forward to pulling it out. Honestly, my very favorite part of this advent study is the morning devotionals for moms. It’s so encouraging at one of the busiest times of the year! You will find yourself coming back to this study year after year, and I promise it will bless your heart.

Heather is a Fine Artist and her delicate attention to detail defines her lovely botanicals. Her beautiful interpretations of nature adorn calendars, notecards, verse cards, and prints. You can even commission Heather to create a unique piece of art for you or a loved one! Not only does Heather create art, but she loves teaching others how to make their own beautiful art. My oldest loved taking some art lessons with Heather last summer. Be sure to subscribe to Heather’s email list if you are interested in art education with Heather in upstate SC.

At the enormous risk of seeming self-serving, I put my little business at the bottom of this list. My goal has ever been to help and encourage all who come to this site. My heart longs to minister what small tidbits of wisdom I am gleaning along this road of life.

Right now, I have original music and hymn arrangements for sale along with my hand-drawn calendars. I have other projects in the works that I can’t wait to share with my blog community someday soon.

May I ask a favor of you? If you find this website a blessing, please share it with as many friends, family members, co-workers, church members, etc. as you think might possibly enjoy it.

The very best ways you can support my website are by

-sharing it with people

-visiting often

-commenting on posts (scroll all the way down for the comments section)

-clicking the heart button

-giving posts a star rating

-saving Pinterest pins to your personal boards (these are at the bottom of posts)

-sharing posts on Facebook, X, or LinkedIn (At the very top of posts on the right-hand side, you will see 3 tiny dots. If you click on those dots, a pop-up opens that says, “Share Post.” You then have several options to share via Facebook, X, LinkedIn, or copy a link.)

Even just doing one of the above ideas will be such a blessing to my website! The more traffic I have coming to my site, the more it will grow! If my website has been a blessing to you, please consider being a blessing to me by supporting it in one of the above ways.

Thanks for joining me today for a unique blog post. By supporting home-based businesses we are supporting the most important business of all--the business of home. I truly hope that you will check out these ladies and possibly consider supporting them in some small way.

-Ashley

Thank you for this!! Over the past year or so, I've been trying to instil more small business buying into my purchases. Right now, Cydney and I have a local boba tea place and a small local Japanese bakery that have become the highlights for us! Love the shirt it's super cute! Love the positiveness that Bettina brings about! I'm friends with her on Facebook. Will definitely be checking out your artist friend I heard all about her 😍 love that you have a neat tradition with the Advent study! Thank you Ashley also for your blog, your music and your art!!

Dawn, thank you for being such an active part of this blog! You have been a kind and uplifting encourager from the get go, and I cannot thank you enough. Boba tea...I've never had that! Maybe we will have to come check it out with you sometime. A Japanese bakery...neat! I have never heard of one before.
