Shop Opening!

So last night I clicked THE button! “What button?” you might ask. The button that says my shop is now open for business!

I double-checked and checked again to make sure everything was in place, and after a quick glance at my husband and a wait for his cyber-security-eyes approval, I took the plunge. I’m so happy to say I’m the humbly-grateful owner of an online shop!

Oh, the ideas I have for this shop! But I’ll not bore you for now. For now, I have a variety of piano, string, and vocal music available. Now I realize that sheet music is not everybody’s thing, and that’s totally understandable. We can still be friends, I promise. But I hope someday to have more items that will bless a wide variety of interests.

Today, I’m featuring one of my recent arrangements, I Must Tell Jesus. As you may already know, I have problems with my hands and have certain limitations when I play the piano. The limitations have actually been a blessing and have motivated me to write my Small Hands, Beautiful Hands series for small-handed pianists like myself.

I wrote the arrangement for “I Must Tell Jesus” (in the above video) as part of said series, and I hope it is a blessing to others who may struggle as I do (just so you know...any pianist can play this music!). The music is available for you to purchase, should you so desire, right here on this website!

Do you fear telling Jesus all of your struggles? I certainly do. I often erroneously think, “God doesn’t want to hear my whining and complaining,” or “This problem is too small. Surely, I should not trouble God with this burden.”

While my attitude is certainly important, God wants to hear the cries of my heart. God wants me to come to Him with the little problems and the big problems that almost seem too big to verbalize to Him.

Heb 4:16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

I can come before God’s throne, not trembling or unsure of my acceptance before Him, but rather confident of my standing before Him. I am assured of grace and mercy in my hour of need.

I love the hymn, I Must Tell Jesus, because it speaks of my need and of my Savior’s heart of Friendship towards me. He is a kind, compassionate Friend, as the hymn states, and He is not only willing to bear my burdens but longing to do so.

Well, friends, today’s post is short and sweet and perhaps a bit scatter-brained. I hope you are encouraged to bring your burdens before a mighty God Who is able to help you! I hope you check out my new store! I’m excited about all the things I hope to have available for you someday.

-Ashley
